CMSC Board of Directors
After 35 years as an Army spouse and nonprofit professional, Carolyn Crissman uses the experience she gained while serving and leading multiple nonprofits, spouses’ organizations, and other military affiliated positions to lead the Council for Military Spouse Clubs (CMSC). She is dedicated to assisting military spouse clubs around the world become more efficient and effective by sharing resources, providing support and advice, and connecting fellow change makers for better collaboration.
As an Air Force spouse for 30 years, Rhonda has experience in various military spouse club leadership roles and supporting spouses and families at the squadron and wing levels. She is passionate about the spouse club mission of giving back to the community and is excited to help provide military spouse clubs with the tools to more effectively and efficiently support their mission.
Teyaka Booker is an O-H I-O native (go Buckeyes)! She and her husband, Terrence, have 3 amazing kids and 2 lively dogs. She is the definition of "on the go." Mrs. Booker has 20 years of experience connecting people to resources in and around their community. She has 13 years of experience assisting military spouses, working with spouse clubs, and representing spouses in meetings with base leadership. When not at work or in a meeting, you can find her on the sidelines of the football field, in an audience at the theater, or on stage performing with a local halau (hula group).
Karly is a seasoned Army Spouse of sixteen years and a mom of three. She has a passion for giving back to her military community and is an active advocate for military spouses' clubs everywhere. She is the current President of the Fort Leavenworth Spouses Club and the 2023 Armed Forces Military Spouse of the Year for Fort Irwin.
Heather grew up in a small town in Illinois and took a job in California right after graduation. When that job ended, she knew she wasn't ready to go back to Illinois, so she enlisted in the Air Force and served for six years. Heather has been a military spouse for almost 24 years. She has spent the last 22 years being a stay-at-home mom, finishing her business administration degree, working part-time, Operations and Chief of Staff of a non-profit, and volunteering at an almost full-time pace. She has had the privilege of serving in several board positions on four different spouse clubs.
Jaime Waterbury is a sixteen year military spouse and mother of one. She is also a Veteran having spent 10 years in the Air Force & Reserve in the Administration career field. She then transitioned into the nonprofit world serving three AmeriCorp terms at Fort Stewart Ga. Upon her move to South Korea she served as the Regional Program Manager for the American Red Cross at Osan Air Base during the height of the COVID19 crisis. After moving to Europe she worked for the United Service Organizations and continued her volunteer efforts through Americans Working Around the Globe and Military Spouse professional development. She is currently finishing her undergraduate degree in Communications at the University of Nevada Las Vegas.
Alysia Damin is coming into the Council as Director of Content with 15 years as an Active Duty Army spouse. She has gained experience in the realm of military and community based organizations by serving on four spouses’ club boards in positions ranging from Vice President to Public Relations Chair and many in-between, SFRG leader/liaison and through school PTA/PTO President. She is an avid supporter of community involvement and fostering a home away from home mentality. In addition to being a Military Spouse, Alysia is a Mom to three children, 2 pets and a licensed Speech Language Pathologist currently practicing with language learning and dyslexia clientele.
Elizabeth Houser joins the Council as Chief Operations Officer while continuing her 10+ year career in cybersecurity. She holds multiple industry certifications and a Master of Library and Information Science degree from the University of Washington. Elizabeth currently serves on the board for the Officers’ Spouses’ Club of Whidbey Island as well as the Computer Information Systems advisory board for Edmonds College.

The Council Advisory Board is comprised of previous CMSC Board Members who continue to share their expertise with the Council Board in an advisory capacity: Candice McPhillips, Julie Taufa’asau, Tim Selby, Tracy Steele, Amy Trask, Jamie Schneider and Cynthia Giesecke.
